Visit to Iceland and the Scandinavian North by Madame Ida Pfeiffer.
 
This is from 1853, a second edition, published by Ingram, Cooke and Co.  It is rebound in a red cloth and gilt cover which shows slight wear and bumping to the corners. The text-block edges are gilt. The book contains eight tinted engravings. The rear paste-down has a small sticker, "Leighton Son & Hodge". There is some very light browning and scattered foxing through the book.
 
Another fascinating travel book in a world very different to the present.
