The Yellow Fairy Book edited by Andrew Lang. This is the first edition published by Longmans, Green and Co. in 1894. The book is slightly cocked. The cover and the gilt in particular is bright and clean. It is very difficult to get a colour match with the photo but the actual book is a nice yellow/gold with perhaps some minimal soiling. There is a small amount of bumping to the corners. The spine is slightly soiled with some slight wear to the top and bottom of the spine. The text block edges are gilt. The half-title page has a previous owner's name and a date. There is some very occasional very light foxing. The illustrations look superb and are clean. Overall a very good copy at least.
