The White Doe of Rylstone or the Fate of the Nortons by William Wordsworth. This edition published in 1859 by Longman et al. The cover is green gilt with elaborate decorations and an embossed white doe. The slightly faded spine has decorations and lettering in  gilt and the back is embossed. Overall the cover shows some slight wear.The text-block edges are gilt. The front paste-down has an ink written prize dedication and a label "George Fleming". The free-front page has an embossed book-sellers label. There is some slight scattered foxing, a little more apparent on the preliminaries. The binding is tight.  The numerous black and white illustrations are by Birket Foster and Humphreys.A very good copy.
