The Tale of the Golden Cockerel (Skazka O Zolotom Pietushkie) by Alexander Pushkin and illustrated by Ivan Bilibin.
 
This was a soft-cover published in 1907 as a first edition by Ekspeditsiia Zagotovleniia Gosudarstvennykh Bumag. The book is in original condition. The front-cover shows soiling and/or browning as does the back-cover (less so). There is a small split at the bottom of the cover 4cms which extends through to the first two pages. but the cover is otherwise intact. The pages are generally lightly browned with very bright illustrations.
 
This is a fairy-tale verse originally written in 1834. This quite rare edition is enhanced by extremely beautiful illustrations. Overall the book remains in very good condition.
