The book has a blue cloth cover with beautiful decorations. There are 36 chromolithograph plates with original tissue guards. There is some foxing especially to the early pages, but the illustrations  are clean. There is a previous book-seller's label to the front paste-down. There are gilt page edges. There is some slight cracking to the gutters but the binding is intact.There is slight wear to the cover edges.
 
Georgina Hetley was self-taught. She travelled throughout New Zealand with a particular interest in plants she believed were endangered. This book is a single combined edition of previous three volumes. Overall a very nice copy indeed.  370x280mms
