The Marvellous Adventures of Sir John Maundeville K.C. A hard-cover edited and illustrated by Arthur Layard. Published by Archibald Constable & Co. in 1895. The cover is burgundy cloth with very bright gilt lettering and ornate decorations. The spine is the same and they show minimal wear other than some slight creasing of the cloth in three spots on the back. There is slight cracking to the front gutter but the binding is firm. The top of the text block is gilt and the front is rough cut. there is very slight browning of the pages and the book is otherwise in very good condition.
