The Life and Explorations of Dr Livingstone. The Great Missionary Traveller. Published by Adam and Co as a deluxe edition in 1887 (n.d.). A very large morocco leather bound book. There is engraved brass edging to three sides with clasps. There is extensive gilt (with slight wear) decorations and lettering to both covers and the spine. There is wear to the edges of the spine and some apparently superficial splits to the edges of the top and bottom of the spine. There are green tape reinforcements to the front and rear gutters ( as seen in some other copies). The pages show some very light scattered foxing. The illustrations are clean and complete and the binding is tight. A very good copy.
