The Lady of the Lake by Sir Walter Scott. Published by A.W. Bennett in 1863. This is illustrated with a fronts-piece photo by G.Wilson and thirteen others, all tipped in by Thomas Ogle. The  frontcover is spectacular, with extensive gilt (with slight wear) decorations on a black cloth background. This extends over the spine and the back cover. The text-block edges are gilt. There is some light scattered foxing throughout. This is seen particularly on the very early pages (as is usual) and the title page. On the rear paste-down there is a binder's ticket, "Westley's". The binding is tight.
