The Illustrated Book of Domestic Poultry, edited by Martin Doyle and illustrated by C.H.Weigall.  Published by George Routledge in 1854. A hard-cover green buckram cover with red quarter leather. There is a minimal tilt to the book. The spine shows wear top and bottom and the gilt lettering is still bright. The cover shows some wear. The free-front page has an owner's inscription "Mary Jane Henty" from 1858. She was born in Tasmania and subsequently went to Victoria as part of a well-known pastoralist family. The text-block edges are rough cut and browned as usual. The pages are very lightly browned and the colour illustrations  bright and clean. The black and white woodcuts show some very light scattered foxing. A very good copy. I will pay for insurance for posting.
