The Canary by Rev. Francis Smith. A third edition , published in 1872 by Groombridge and Sons. A red-brown cloth cover with gilt lettering and a gilt illustration of a bird and some black in-fill to the lettering and black decorations on the front-cover. The cover shows some light wear. There is an ink gift dedication above the half-title dated 1872. The text-block edges are gilt. There is some very light occasional foxing in the book. The illustrations are bright and clean and largely in coiour. The binding is tight. A very good copy plus copy.
