The Black Arrow by Robert Louis Stevenson.
 
This was published by Cassell and Co. in 1888. It is a first edition, first issue with the appropriate codes amongst the advertisements at the back of the book,5G.7.88 and 5B.7.88.
 
The book has a tilt. The cover shows some wear and soiling.The edges of the text-block show some foxing. The end-papers have floral decorations and there are two bookplates at the front of the book. There is light scattered foxing on some pages.
 
Another classic Stevenson  novel, packed with  adventure and romance against the background of an historical novel. It was originally a serial set in the time of Henry VI. A good copy.
