The Australian Victories in France in 1918 by General Sir John Monash. The revised edition published by Lothian in 1923. On the half-title page there are a few owner's signatures but one is intriguing. It reads A.L. Amery, 1926. The may well be the British Secretary of State for the Dominions who visited Australia in 1926. He was otherwise known as Leopold. The book is in its original worn binding of flush-cut card-covers. They are soiled and creased with losses on the spine. The two colour maps which are double-page on the end-papers are present. The pages are quite clean and the binding while fragile is holding.
