Something About Eve by James Branch Cabell, 1929.
 
This the first illustrated version with illustrations by Frank Pape. It is a hard-cover with no dust-wrapper.
 
The cover is black cloth with bright gilt lettering and illustrations. The gilt on the spine is slightly faded. There is a little bumping to the corners and the top and bottom of he spine. The end-papers show the typical fantastic illustrations by Pape with some cracking of the gutters. There is some browning of the text-block edges and the book is otherwise clean, Scattered through the book are smaller Pape illlustrations.
 
The book is in very good condition. It is a further satirica book by Cabell with his unique writing style and sense of humour.
