Roughing It In the Bush by Susanna Moodie, first Canadian edition from 1923. Published as a hard-cover by McClelland & Stewart. Two particular points of interest with this book. Firstly it comes with the uncommon dust-wrapper which shows chips, soiling and some foxing but is complete. Secondly,, the dedication on the free-front page is written by John W. Defoe, a prominent Canadian journalist in 1929 to his cousin in Australia. The has some delightful illustrations and shows some light scattered foxing and browning throughout. the binding is tight.
