Pictures from Italy by Charles Dickens, is a first edition and first issue.. It was published by Bradbury and Evans (for the Author) in 1846.

It comes in the original blue publisher's cloth with some soiling. and slight wear to bottom and top of spine. There is a name-plate on front paste down. There is some slight browning throughout but overall a good, tight, clean copy.

There are  ads for "Oliver Twist" before the half-title and Christmas Books ads at the end of the book. Pages 5 and 270 are unnumbered. The Vvgnettes on wood are by Samuel Palmer. There is a faint ink owner's name on free rear paper with a date.

This book is essentially a travelogue of Dickens' own trip through Italy.
