Illuminated Illustrations of Froissart by H.N.Humphries Esq., 1854 and 1855. The first volume is published by William Smith in 1854 with illustrations from the British Museum. The second volume also published by William Smith in 1855 has illustrations from the Bibliotecheque Royale in Paris. Both have a quarter leather binding with red cloth and gilt lettering on the spine. The 1854 volume shows some light wear to the covers and as with the other copy delightful cream and gold end-papers. Both have the name-plate of Joseph Neeld (a ninteenth century politician). The book has 36 vivid, clean colour plates. There is some light toning to the top and bottom of the pages. the binding is tight and the book is in very good/near fine condition. The 1855 volume has a some light spots on the front of the cover.There are also 36 plates and the rest of the book is as described for the first volume.
