Hunters and Fishers or Sketches of Primitive Races in the Lands Beyond the Sea. Written by Mrs Percy Sinnett and published by Chapman and Hall as a second edition in 1848. This edition has a cloth cover with gold, blue and black decorations  and while undated this distinguishes it from the first edition in 1846. The cover and spine show some wear as indicated in the photo. There is a previous owner's ink gift inscription on the free-front page. There is some toning and light scattered foxing throughout. Pages 37 to 57 cover a chapter titled "the Australians" with a detailed description of Australian aborigines. Overall in good condition.
