How I Found Livingstone. Travels,Adventures and Discoveries in Central Africa by Henry M. Stanley. Published by Sampson, Low Marsden,Low and Searle in 1872. Half leather cover with marbled boards, text-block edges and end-papers. The spine has gilt lettering on a black background and gilt decorations. The cover shows some light wear with slightly bumped corners. on the front paste-down there is a previous book-seller's label and the name-plate of Samuel Harris of Greenwood near Barnet. There is some foxing on the first few pages and the remainder of the book is quite clean other than some very light toning.  The fronts-piece is a photo of Stanley with some foxing around it. All maps are present with some foxing and to their blank pages adjacent. All full-page and smaller illustrations are present and clean. The binding is tight. A very good copy.
