Guide to Doune Castle by James Dunbar, 1894. A sixth edition distinguished by its Mauchline Ware cover. The wood was from the old gallows tree at the castle. There is minimal wear to the boards and the spine is red leather with gilt lettering and it shows some slight wear. The end-papers have a floral design and the free-front page is partly detached but holding.there is some very light browning throughout. The book is very good.
