Green Outside by Elizabeth Godley with illustrations by Rex Whistler.
 
This charming children's nonsense book  of poetry was published by Chatto & Windus. While there is no date in the book but it was published in 1931.
 
The book is in green cloth with red lettering to the front and spine and a house with plants on the front. The cover is slightly soiled and faded. The  front end paper has a gift inscription dated 1945 the book has some scattered foxing which is fairly light and is most apparent on the title page. The frontis piece illustration is in colour and there are also many black and white illustrations.
