Flowers from Foreign Lands. Their History and Botany by Robert Tyas.Published by Houlston & Stoneman in 1853. A hard-cover with 12 hand-coloured groups of flowers by James Andrews. The cloth cover is blue with slight bumping to the corners and a little wear. the spine has bright gilt lettering and slight wear to the top and bottom.There is a book-seller's label inside the front cover and some faded pencil marks on the free-front page. The colours are vivid in the pictures. There is some light foxing  in the book most obvious on the prelimiaries. the binding is tight,a very good, delightful copy.
