Familiar Garden Flowers, a complete set of series 1-5. They have been illustrated by F.Edward Hulme and the text written by Shirley Hibberd.

They were published by Cassell & Company with no date given, but perhaps 1905.

The books are in an olive cloth cover with some embossed floral decorations on the cover and spine which also have gilt lettering. Each book has 40 bright, coloured plates, with light wear to the covers and occasional slight foxing. The bindings are tight.

There is an inscription on the back of the fronts-piece which is of some historic interest. It reads:" M.Gibson Dalsraith, Studley Pk. Rd., Kew 21st April 1907" Dalsraith was an impressive Fedration home built in 1906 for a wealthy retailer, Mr Gibson. This book may have belonged to his mother Mary.

The books are in very good condition.
