Egypt.Painted and described by R. Talbot Kelly, 1903

Published by Adam and Charles Black. Complete with 75 colour plates all by Kelly.

The book is bound in a contemporary brown suede with gilt lettering to the front, This was often done at that time as gift. There is in fact a gift inscription on an early blank page. The content of the inscription refers to two employees at a guest house, "Argyll House" at "Bogurs" which was Bognor Regis

The suede has some splits on the spine, soiling and bumped corners but is otherwise intact. The text block edges are gilt. There is light scattered foxing though the text pages of the book. Each coloured illustration is preceded by a tissue page with a title on it. The illustrations are vivid and clean.
