The Illustrated Book of Cage-Birds and Canaries British and Foreign by W.A.Blakston, W. Swaysland and August Wiener. Published by Cassell and Co., circa 1890. This is a folio sized book with a cover of burgundy coloured half-morroco leather and pebbled cloth . The front has some slight gilt decoration and the spine shows more ornate decorations and text. There is some wear and soiling especially to the leather edges. The book has a previous owner's name in several places dated 1911. The frontspiece shows moderate foxing. There is light foxing throughout. The text-block edges are gilt. The illustrations are bright and there is some light foxing on the blank areas around them. The binding is tight. The book will be insured for postage.
