Australia Painted in Pictures. Painted by Percy FS Spender, Described by Frank Fox. Hard-cover published in 1910 by Adam and Charles Black. This is a hard-cover in blue cloth with interesting decorations. In gilt is lettering (spine and front cover) and the six badges of the states of Australia. In addition in green is a floral design which is most likely wattle. The cover shows bumping to the corners and top and bottom of the spine along with some light general wear. There is some cracking of the hinges but they are holding. There is some very light browning throughout with some occasional spotting, most apparent on text block edges, paste downs and free front page.
There is a previous owner's name on the free-front page. All 75 coloured illustrations are present with their tissue guards. The fold-out map is present at the end of the book with some very slight foxing. Overall a good to very good copy.
