The publishers were Sampson,Low. The cream sunken panel insert (with slight bowing as is usual)  is slightly soiled with a holly tendril frame around a gilt title. Gilt title on the spine. Some slight soiling to the cover. Slight wear to cover edges and top and bottom of the spine.Original chocolate brown end-papers with a small book-sellers label at the top of the paste-down. Hinges are tender but holding well. a chromolithographed frontis and 14 chromolithographed illustrations . This is a very good or better copy.
