A Midsummer-Nights Dream by William Shakespeare and illustrated by Arthur Rackham. Published by William Heinemann in 1908. A grey cloth cover with bright gilt lettering and a gilt illustration. there is gilt lettering to the spine. The spine shows some wear to the top and bottom and the otherwise clean cover has some slight bumping to the corners. The free-front pages has an ink gift dedication and is dated 1908. There is some foxing on the preliminaries and otherwise some scattered foxing through the book except for a few pages where it is more obvious. The foxing on the pages is most apparent on the pages opposite the card backing for the tipped-in pictures. The colour, tipped-in illustrations, importantly, are clean and bright and truly spectacular to look at. Each one is covered by a titled leaf of tissue paper. There are some black and white illustrations. The binding is tight. A very good copy.
