A red cloth cover with a gilt illustration on the front and gilt illustration and lettering on the spine. The cover shows some light wear especially to the edges. The text-block edges are gilt.The binding is tender but holding. Then book has some delightful illustrations all of which are present. There are 10 coloured steel engravings and numerous black and white wood-cuts.The pages are lightly toned with some light scattered foxing. A good/very good copy.
