The brown cloth cover has a gilt symbol on the front and gilt lettering slightly worn on the spine. The cover is soiled and worn with bumped corners. The spine has splits on the edges (visible in the photo) and wear with slight losses top and bottom. There is off-setting to the free front and rear pages. There are a few small chips to the front paste-down. There is a possible water stain to the medial part of the frontis piece and title page visible in the photos. This is another fascinating book by Hudson. It is generously illustrated by Alfred Hartley and J.Smit. It is in fair to good condition.
