What the Blackbird Said by Mrs Frederick Locker, illustrated by Randolph Caldecott, 1881.
 
This is a hard-cover edition published by George Routledge and Sons. It has a superb cover and is an otherwise very good copy. There is slight browning to the pages and a few small pencil annotations to the free-front page. There is a book-plate as indicated in the photo. There is a small tear of 5cms to  the front gutter and a small tear in the tissue paper over the face-plate. There is slight browning to the otherwise very clean pages and a tight binding. 
 
The book is divided into 4 "chirps" as it explores the life of the blackbird over the 4 seasons.
