Weather Warnings for Watchers
This was written as a first edition in 1877. It was published by Houlston and Sons as a hard-cover.
The cover shows wear on the edges and similar wear with losses of about 1cm at the base of the spine. The illustration and lettering on the front in black, white and red is quite clean and clear. There is a label on the front paste-down indicating this was a bequest to an historical society in 1908. The book is otherwise quite clean with a tight binding.
Some of the features of this fascinating book include numerous black and white diagrams, in particular, of scientific instruments from the nineteenth century, used for meteorological measurements.
