1865,The Prisoner of Chillon by Lord Byron, first edition.
This was illustrated by W.G.Hudsley. The chromolithography was by W. Tymms and the book was published by Day & Sons in 1865 as a first edition. The cover is brown cloth with green and gilt decorations and lettering on the front cover and gilt lettering on the spine. There is some slight wear to the covers and top and bottom of the spine but otherwise they are in near fine condition. The text-block edges are gilt. The end-papers and all the blanks through the book show some light foxing (a few more than light). There a page before the title page with a gift/prize inscription shown in the photos above. The chromolithographs are very bright with some light foxing scattered around then blank areas around them.
This was a poem in a collection written by Lord Byron in 1816. This edition distinguishes itself by the accompanying chromolithographs. A very good plus copy.
