Memoranda on Vegetation by John Hunter
 
This was written by a particularly famous surgeon and anatomist, John Hunter in 1860. The book was was printed by Taylor and Francis. It detailed some of his botanical experiments. This was the first and only edition published and is quite rare.
 
The cover is burgundy cloth with some embossing. It shows light wear and soiling. The spine has gilt lettering. There is a previous owner's name on a label on the front paste-down. There is some very light browning scattered through the book, more obvious on the title page. The binding is tight.
 
This book is in very good condition.
